While most passports are meant for visiting foreign countries, the Historic House Passport is your ticket to discovering our heritage by visiting the 22 historic sites that survive in our City’s parks. Each page of the brochure features one of the sites and its contact information.
Join us as we celebrate our 20th Anniversary and bring back the Historic House Passport, one of the Trust’s first promotional pieces in 1989. Be sure to visit the events section frequently as we post new anniversary events, which are great opportunities to get your passport stamped. We’ve given you 3 free stamps to start you on your journey...enjoy your trip to the past!
How does it work?
With the passport, we issue you a challenge: show your support and visit all 22 historic sites in New York City’s parks. The first 20 people to send in a completed passport before 12/31/08 will win a free HHT membership at the Patron level for 2009. Patron membership is valued at $250 and includes two membership cards, four guest passes, a book from the Library of America, and acknowledgement in our newsletter.
Where do I get a passport?
The free passports are available at each site, NYC & Company information centers in City Hall Park, Federal Hall and 810 Seventh Avenue, and from the Historic House Trust. Visit a historic house now or Request a Passport by email or phone at 212-360-8282.
